American Custom Distilling Involvement:
American Custom Distilling partnered with the creators of Big Nose Kate Whiskey, a trailblazing brand inspired by the bold spirit of the Old West. We worked directly with Mel Heim, Co-Founder and CEO, to provide her with various cask types and ages of our single malt whisky. Mel selected single malt aged in ex-European Red Wine barrels that had undergone STR (Shave, Toast, Char/Recooper) treatment to be a portion of her blend for Big Nose Kate.
The other whiskey in the blend is Rye whiskey (not from us), which complemented our single malt beautifully. This serves as a great example of how our whisky can be used as a component in a final blend rather than being the sole featured whisky. We shipped all whisky in IBC totes to ensure a smooth integration into their production process.
Our role included:
Blend Development: Collaborating to provide a selection of aged single malt options that enhance the overall blend and align with the brand’s identity.
Bulk Sourcing: Supplying high-quality American Single Malt whisky aged in ex-European Red Wine barrels with STR treatment.
Tailored Support: Working directly with Mel Heim to ensure our whisky complemented the Rye whiskey in the final blend.
Logistics & Delivery: Coordinating seamless shipment of all whisky in IBC totes for integration into their blending process.
